Since then, as the University has grown, Kutztown University Facilities Management has expanded and enhanced the BAS to integrate the new and renovated campus residence halls, class rooms, and other facilities into the campus-wide BAS. In 2002, Kutztown University upgraded its BAS utilizing the latest controls and monitoring system architecture. The BAS controls the chilled water systems and other cooling systems for the campus buildings, and monitors the central heating plant and indoor temperatures throughout the campus buildings. Project HighlightsRPA Engineering developed the Master Plan, including strategies and guidelines for incorporation of future BAS expansions and upgrades. The Plan enables Kutztown University Facilities Management to implement best practices for building HVAC controls, to achieve standardized and consistent operator displays and reports, and to obtain the most effective operations and maintenance support for the BAS moving forward. |
