Project Summary

Diagnostic Laboratory of Oklahoma (DLO) is constructing a new 70,000 square foot clinical testing facility in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. The facility consists of testing laboratories, administrative office space, and miscellaneous support spaces.

Project Highlights

RPA Engineering provided the complete mechanical, electrical and plumbing design. Special requirements of the design included a Biosafety Level 3 laboratory as well as Cytology, Microbiology, Virology, Mycology, and Molecular laboratories with automated and semi-automated diagnostic equipment. Systems including HVAC, plumbing systems for DI and lab waste, laboratory gases, fire protection and alarm, lighting, normal and emergency power distribution, and data/voice infrastructure. While DLO does not plan to register this project at this time, all designs were consistent with LEED specifications.
